Order on Hold: Solutions for low quality images

Modified on Wed, 29 May at 8:42 PM

During our manufacturing process, there may be a time that our team will place your order on hold for which you will get a message and an email. The below article describes why your order might be on hold and what you can do to fix it.

Why is my order on hold?

Sometimes, while using Create it, certain customer may use images that are of poor quality. By poor quality, we mean that when the image is actually printed, it will pixelate on the garment that it is being printed on. For print, any image that you upload, is upscaled to print at 300-800x depending on your source file and how big you try and print it. This results in an image which looks something like the image below:

Now, in some cases such as fonts and simple line artwork, our team can recreate these images from scratch and proceed with your order. However, in complex cases such as the example below, it is physically impossible for our team to recreate your image from scratch as your source file is too complicated to scale up for print.

When cases like this happen, our team will put your order on HOLD and inform you that the image that you are trying to print is too complex for us to upscale and it's not possible for us to print it as it is.

What can I do now?

To help our team recreate the image, below are some of the options you can explore to help our team recreate your image from scratch.

  • Finding a high-resolution image: If you have sourced your image from Google, go through the article here which will help you understand how to search for an image with high resolution on Google.
  • Helping our team find your original image: Our team can also try and search for the image that you are looking for and give you options for exploring different alternatives or finding your original image in High resolution. For this, you can either drop your search query or let our team know what exactly you have searched for while looking for your image.
  • Sharing the URL of your original image: You can also reply to the email and attach your original URL through which you have made your search. Our team might be able to optimize your original image and work with what you send them

Any other options?

You can try the following options as well

What's next?

Our team will review the image that you have sent and get in touch with you to discuss how they can help navigate the low-resolution image of your order. Our team will go back and forth with you until you feel satisfied with the final image before printing your output.

Important: As low resolution artwork takes time for our team to process, it is likely that due to this time spent in fixing your image, our team will take longer than our standard manufacturing timeframe to dispatch your order. If you have any constraints that have to do with delivery or require an escalation we suggest you contact us via Whataspp
